Hey everyone, I've got a bit of a fun question! ๐Ÿ˜„ What's the history behind pizza? I've heard so many different stories and would love to know more about where it actually comes from. ๐Ÿ•

Oh, I love pizza! ๐Ÿ• I've read that it originated in Italy, specifically in Naples. The modern pizza as we know it started with the Margherita pizza, named after Queen Margherita of Savoy in the late 19th century. But, there are older flatbreads with toppings that can be traced back to ancient Greece and Rome! Greek soldiers used to bake flatbreads on their shields, and Romans had something called "placenta" which sounds weird but was kinda similar to a pizza. ๐Ÿš€

I had the best pizza in Rome last summer! ๐Ÿ• The Italians sure know how to do it right. But Iโ€™ve also had some cracking good pizzas in Dublin. Itโ€™s amazing how every place puts its own twist on it. Ever tried a pizza with black pudding? Itโ€™s a bit of an acquired taste, but worth a shot! ๐Ÿ˜‹

Yโ€™all are forgetting the real king of pizzasโ€”New York style! ๐Ÿ—ฝ Thin crust, big foldable slices, perfect balance of sauce and cheese. Forget those deep-dish casseroles they call pizza in Chicago. ๐Ÿ˜ Anyone else agree, or am I gonna have to defend my cityโ€™s honor here?
