kristin and i have a pact; friends don’t let friends wear sandals.  there are a few exceptions- okay, one (post-pedicures), but you get the idea.

i may have to break out pact for these, however-  mugler x paraboot.  pretty rad, right?  sadly- they’re only in mens sizes at this time, but rad nonetheless, right?

this is clearly not legit, but, i think it’s OK- and here’s why…goyard bags are beautiful, but they are a piece.

i bought my tote about 7 years ago, and it completely wore out (read: raw holes) on the corners.  i took it back to the store about 6 months later, where they said they’d repair it.  i returned to pick it up, and they had proceeded to chop off 1.5″ off the bottom – and re-sew the base of the tote.  NOT cool.  I now had a weird shorter bag-  and it looked like a knockoff.  i asked that they replace it, as I would have stitched the corners or patched it myself – had I known it was going to be hacked.  they replaced it, and I’m now on tote #2 – that i’m petrified to use for fear of future wear + tear.  it collects dust in my closet.  ((sigh)).

which brings me back to this imposter- it doesn’t have the word “goyard” but does have the look and feel- and it’s under $50.00.  deal.

i love that this sweater juxtaposes this really rigid, progressive silhouette with a feminine color.  i’d wear it with some old hole-y jeans, to keep the edge and play down any girly-girl frilliness.

angelinos need no introduction to SCOUT.  in a town with it’s fair share of overrated vintage shops, SCOUT is a well-edited respite from the masses- a carefully cultivated mix of 70, 80s and 90s pieces that makes shopping there a boutique-like experience- and the well-styled website is no different.
