with seas of generic glasses (lens crafters = gag) finding new spectacles can be a daunting task…enter prism london…modern silhouettes and progressive finishes; think midnight blue or diamond clear.  we adore.

for my four-eyed friends, these are my other favorite LA resources:

  • hotel de ville:  the holy land for vintage persols, and my new german glasses “schnizel”
  • LA eyeworks:  quirky colors with a retro bent…fairly sure a c. 91  sally jessie raphael shopped here…

    I don’t wear glasses for vision correction but I do for an added touch every once in a while. I love all these frames.

    I’m an advocate of vintage frames and lens replacement whenever possible, but like in the case of many Christian Dior frames from the ’70s and ’80s they are constructed from such brittle plastic that they can and will break. Like my faves :( . That said, don’t knock lens crafters till you’re tried it, I got these: http://www.lenscrafters.com/eyeglasses/3/mens-frames/essential/en5658 when i needed to replace my frames in a pinch and get compliments on them all the time! Lens quality kinda sucks but they were ready in two hours and under $200.

    I openly stan for Hotel de Ville. I’ve yet to put lenses in my 50′s all-aluminum-everything frames I got there a year ago…LOL. They have GREAT stuff.
