diy: sharpies and swallows

picture-121

dress by stylestalker (thanks rach!), boots vintage DIY

start with some old square-heel boots (the 90s were kind to this trend–thrift stores are teeming with these chunky boots- mine were $7.80)…stuff them with newspapers, and spray with paint.  repeat for 2nd coat.  let dry.  practice drawing the swallows, by looking at the miu miu inspiration post (i had mine open on my iphone, while i was drawing).  practice first on the inside side of the shoe, to get your technique.  repeat!  mine took about 2 hrs per shoe.

(x1) spraypaint (i used krylon “slipper” in satin finish)

(x3) sharpies

  22. Those are so fun! I cannot draw though so my the plan is to start with black shoes, put stickers in bird shapes all over the shoe, spray paint, remove stickers. This might end up a disaster.
